Get Holiday Ready – Six Travel Essentials

I’m not going to lie writing this post is going to be bitter sweet as I am not actually heading on holiday until the end of August. However, I know a lot of people start jetting off right about now so I wanted to get this post up! I am a seriel over packer so I’ve comprised the six travel essentials you need to pack to get holiday ready!

The first thing that I think is a holiday essential and you need in your suitcase are little crop tops. Crop tops are an essential for holiday as they are so easy to throw on with shorts, skirts or even a bikini. They are so versatile for day or night and can be worn in a variety of different ways. Also, crop tops are super lightweight so won’t take up much room or weight in your luggage!

The second holiday essential I always pack are sunglasses! I mean this one speaks for itself really. Sunglasses not only protect your eyes from the sun but are also a fashion accessory. I have about 4 pairs of sunglasses of different shapes that I can style up with different holiday outfits/bikinis that really help to finish the look! If you buy quite cheap sunglasses that you will be able to switch them up depending on what look you’re going for.

The third travel essential I can’t go on holiday without are books. Throughout the year I find it hard to find time to read, so when I go away I try to spend as much time as I can reading. I find it so relaxing being able to demolish a whole book. I would honestly recommend trying this if you want some ultimate relaxation while on holiday. Books are also great for if you are waiting around in an airport.

Another travel essential I always have handy is a miniature perfume. These are great for popping on in the evening or using for a freshen up when travelling and it’s nice to have a scent that you wear at home on holiday with you! Also having a miniature means that there is less chance of spillage and breakage. I have a few miniature perfumes that I like to alternative between. It would also be nice to get a new miniature when you go to a new place and then when you smell that scent you will always associate it with that place!

The fifth travel essential I always have handy is a bright lipstick. I love wearing a bright lipstick with a tan because it really pops. I also usually feel a little braver on holiday and like I can go for a brighter lip that I might not attempt back here in the UK! I tend to opt for a bright orange/red as it reminds me of warm tropical weather. I also think it’s really nice to slick on a hydrating lipstick/balm after a day in the sun.

The final travel essential I want to mention are accessories. I’m not one of those people who likes to take mounds of jewellery on holiday, so I like to choose a few very versatile pieces that will go with lots of different outfits. I recently got these pearl hoop earrings from ASOS which I think would be perfect for holidays as they match pretty much any outfit!

There we have it, might six travel essentials that I don’t go on holiday without! I would love to know what your travel essentials are and if you think that I have seriously forgotten anything!
