New in beauty can be hard to keep up to date with and trying a range of new products can seem impossible when there is so much to choose from. As a beauty lover I often get stuck wanting to try everything that is new on the market but not being able to afford it, or even have any need for that much make up!
However, I think I may have found a way around that (I mean it’s not revolutionary or anything) with the help of travel sized mini beauty products. My fiancé bought me the John Lewis advent calendar which was full of amazing products (instastories on my instagram shows the unboxing) that I could try before deciding if I wanted to buy the full sized.
Buying travel sized minis not only allows you to try new in beauty but it is also slightly more cost effective as you’re not buying full sized products. I see this as a bonus as it means you can treat yourself to more products!
The travel sized minis I’ve been trying have been for lots of products that I’ve been desperate to get my hands on for a while but couldn’t justify spending lots of money like Hourglass, or completely new products that I’ve not heard about before like the Lancōme or Bare Minerals products.
One of the products I was most excited to try was the Hourglass Powder having been a big fan of Hourglass for a long time. The powder is just as beautiful in its mini size as it is in full size and is super easy to carry around in my hand bag for touch ups throughout the day. This powder is lightweight and gives a subtle glow to the skin helping make you look super healthy.
Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow was another product I have been lusting after for a long time. It leaves you feeling instantly glowy, is easy to apply without being sticky and makes a great base for any foundation. This mini product is so great that I am definitely going to make the transition to the full sized product!
Getting lots of different mini sized products has made it so much easier for me to try lots of different brands that maybe I hadn’t considered before, helps reduce my beauty waste and means I can try lots of the new in beauty products! It really is a win win! I definitely think this is going to be my new beauty hack.
