Five Years of Charlotte Tilbury

As you all know I am a huge fan of Charlotte Tilbury, I have a lot of their lovely products and my collection is ever growing. The brand have just celebrated 5 Years of Charlotte Tilbury and so recently released a new eyeshadow palette and after Lydia Elise Millen featured it on her instagram story I knew that it was a product I would love. I mean I am a sucker for a new pretty product especially if it’s in beautiful packaging, so this was a win win! The eyeshadow palette was also rumoured to be limited edition and that made me want to get my hands on it even more!

The eyeshadow palette is called the Stars in Your Eyes Palette and is honestly beautiful. The outer packaging is the brands signature deep burgundy colour but jazzed up with lots of sparkle and glitter, it’s amazing! And the inside where the eyeshadow sits is in a shiny gold plate that shimmers when the light hits it, making the eyeshadow looked like sparkly coloured diamonds!

Now onto the most exciting part, the actual eyeshadows. The palette contains twelve eyeshadows that come in for sets of three meaning you can create four main looks, although there are definitely hundreds of other looks you can make. Each eyeshadow set also has a cute name to match the look which I think is such a good idea and they are really lovely names like: Love Eyes, Power Eyes, Happy Eyes and Confident Eyes.

Love Eyes is a beige nude look with a light cream matte shade, a shimmery nude shade and a matte nude shade. This look is a fairly subtle but pretty look that can be worn during daytime or as a subtle night time look. Power Eyes is a shimmery gold look (one of my favourites) and includes three shimmer shades, a real true gold, a nude gold and a browny darker gold. All of which complement each other beautifully to create a dramatic fun look, that will dazzle in all lights!

Happy Eyes which is my personal favourite look is a burgundy/purple look and something which can be warn day or night. This look includes a burgundy shimmer, a burgundy brown matte and a purple brown matte. All these colours combined really help to make your eyes pop and can be built up or tamed down depending on the look you are going for. The final look, Confident Eyes, is a true purple look which includes a light purple shimmer, a dark purple shimmer and a darker purple matte colour. This really is the perfect ‘out out’ eyeshadow set!

There we have it, a run down on my favourite eyeshadow palette at the moment. I know I talked about the four different sets within the palette, however you can definitely mix and match the shades to create an array of looks. Although the palette isn’t the cheapest at £60, it really is a high quality product. The packaging feels sturdy and the product within it is amazing and very pigmented, meaning a little goes a long way. I was also lucky enough to receive free samples for spending over a certain amount and then an extra five free samples because it was the brands five year anniversary! I personally thought this was a great idea as it means consumers can try out products for the brand that they might not have tried before!

I also think the Stars in Your Eyes palette would make the most perfect, dare I say it, Christmas present. It is such a luxury product that I think any makeup lover would be so excited to receive it, I know I would! I love it so much that I definitely want to treat my loved ones to it!
