Its the first day of October, which means we have finally reached my favourite three months of the year and the beginning of Autumn! I love this time of year as it’s all about cosiness, warmth and orangey red tones!
So because of that I wanted to tell you about my new Autumn eyeshadow palette from Kylie Cosmetics. I received the Sorta Sweet Palette for my birthday and have been loving it ever since. It’s made up of nine beautifully soft autumnal shades ranging from pale apricots, golden yellows to burnt maroons. The palette has three shimmer shades and six matte shades. I love the shades in this palette as they all compliment each other meaning a range of looks can be created. You can create a dark evening look with the more red/purple shades or you can go for something more practical for daytime with the lighter matte shades.
I love to use the really golden shimmery shade in the middle and then use some of the darker richer tones throughout the crease to create the ultimate autumnal look. All the shades in this palette are really pigmented and give beautiful payoff on the eyelid without too much fall out. I would say there is slightly more fallout from the matte shades.
Also, how beautiful is the packaging of this palette? Kylie recently changed her packaging to this really chic matte black with gold detailing and let me tell you I am all for it! I think it makes the products look really high end (which I think they are anyway) and very stylish, just like the products within the palette.
Although this palette is $42 which works out at about £32, I would definitely repurchase this product as I think the shades are quite mellow but still beautiful, making it very practical for a range of looks especially for day time! One thing I would say though is that if you are purchasing outside of the US, you will have to pay a customs charge to get the product into the country, something which can be slightly annoying!
Anyway I just wanted to finish this post by saying that I would definitely recommend Kylie Cosmetics as all the products I have purchased from the website have been really good quality and although shipping internationally, all my products have arrived in impeccable condition!
