Upping My Blogging Game – The Iphone X

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetI started my blog in August and since then have been taking all my photos on my Iphone 6s. This was fine to start with but I soon realised that I wanted a much sharper image to make my photos look better – which ultimately everyone wants right?

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetI started my blog with the view that it you don’t have to spend money to do something you love, which I still believe but I want to up my blogging game. I love blogging so much and want that to show in the content I create, regardless of whether anyone looks at it or reads it. I spend so much time on my instagram looking at other peoples beautiful photos and flatlays, there is so much inspiration to be found on instagram let me tell you!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetThat inspiration lead to me wanting to take better more exciting photos and I just knew I needed to upgrade my camera. As I haven’t been blogging for all that long I didn’t want to splash out on a really expensive camera (don’t get me wrong I know the phone I’ve got is expensive), thats something I want to progress to in the future. My phone contract was nearly up and as it was Christmas I asked my parents if I could get a new phone on contract.

0f071512-d1cf-441d-ae6a-dd400c102f85.jpgI spent a long time deciding what phone I wanted and looking at all the different cameras on phones, I looked at Samsung (which my boyfriend wanted me to go for as an android user) but as an Apple lover who owns all apple products and pretty much always have I knew I wanted to go for Apple. Although I could have gone for the 8 plus, it was just too big for me. I would constantly be dropping that on my face, it just didn’t fit in my hand! So I decided to go for the Iphone x 65gb in silver and I absolutely love it!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetThe phone is the same size as the other Apple normal sized phones but there is no home button so the screen goes all the way to the bottom. I thought I wouldn’t get used to it but I absolutely love it, its so chic but easy to use and let me tell you the Animoji’s are so fun to use! I love playing around with them and linking it to my face, so fun! I also love the fact the phone opens with a face scanner, it makes life so much easier than having to type in a 6 digit code all the time.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetNow onto the important bit the camera. The camera is absolutely amazing, so much better than the 6s and it’s going to transform my blog photos… I hope! The photos are so sharp and look so professional, especially in portrait mode where the background gets blurred. I’m having so much fun taking photos on it and with such a good camera it makes editing the photos so much easier. I know spend ages taking photos and getting the right angle but the photos just look so much better in my opinion. As i’m still getting used to the phone i’m trying to get used to all its features but so far I love it.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetAlso as I am taking photos of the phone for this blog post, these photos will obviosuly be taken on another camera, however from here on out expect better quality photos!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetI also quickly wanted to mention the most amazing phone case I got to go with my iphone x. I found the most amazing pink/rose gold sparkly phone case by ted baker on Selfridges. I spent ages looking for a case and because the phone is new out there weren’t a lot of exciting fun cases out there, they were all pretty boring. However when I found this I knew it had to be mine, it’s such a me case I love a bit or sparkle. It also looks amazing on the phone and fits perfectly, not obstructing the buttons. The case cost £30 which I thought was a good price considering it will protect my phone if I ever drop it and it’s from ted baker which is a premium brand.

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetI hope this blog post has given you an insight into the iphone X if you were thinking about getting it. Please let me know in the comments if you have any questions.
